O'Charley's Hpnotiq Ocean Martini!

A while back I got a DELICIOUS drink at O'Charley's when out for dinner with the boyfriend. It was so awesome I couldn't resist snapping the above pic with my phone to share with everyone. I recently found the recipe and thought I'd share! For extra pizzazz, add a glow in the dark swizzle stick...and yes, I  still have my glow stick saved in the freezer...

O'Charley's Hpnotiq Ocean Martini

1 oz. Hpnotiq tropical fruit liquor

1 oz. Malibu coconut rum

1/2 ounce pineapple juice

Shake well and serve in martini glass.

Garnish with glow stick.

Get ready...

Hurray for everyone! My next post will be instructions on DIY-ing your very own pair of Dsquared2 Skeletal Heels!
DSQUARED2
What's even more rad (but honestly, would could possibly be more rad than these shoes, right??) is that you can do this with ANY pair of heels you already have! Extra materials will cost about $10-15, but that's way better than the retail price on these which is about $1000 :)

Here's the outcome for my own, better pictures on the next post, I promise!

Stay tuned, I'll post as soon as I can!

PS, if you love white sauce from sushi places, but are too poor to go all the time, definitely try Terry Ho's YumYum Sauce. It's the only white sauce I've seen available at a grocery store (I got mine at Food Lion) I'm currently eating it over a bowl of rice as I type because I am so good at multitasking...and being fat.

Tie-dye hair tutorial

I've been getting some requests for a how-to for tie-dye hair I did myself last Summer. It's not too hard and way cheaper than going to a salon, enjoy :)

Things you will need:
Color Jamz Tripped up Turquoise
-An idea of where you want your tie-dye, for mine I did an underlayer towards the back of my head but it can be done in streaks or all over
-Dye in the colors you want, I used Beyond the Zone Color Jamz in Tripped Up Turquoise and Purple Passion which is available at any Sallys

-A color applicator brush and bowl
-You can also do a clear dye over your color to help it from fading, also available at Sally's Cairol Jazzing in Clear

Depending on how much and where you're coloring, separate your hair so you can work with the part you want to be tie-dyed, you can use clips or whatever to hold your hair up and there are products you can put on any near by roots you don't want colored in case you mess up a little. I used a little bit of tissue bobby pinned to my roots to keep away unwanted color

You can use as many colors as you want. The beauty of this particular hair dye is that after you put your first color on, you can blend the second color an inch or two into the first color for a seamless transition which will give you that nice tie-dye affect.

Once you have your colors in, just follow the instructions on the bottle while it processes. My hair was very blonde when I did this so the colors were really vivid. If you have dark hair, I'd recommend lightening where you want your colors so they don't look murky or amateur.

Tips!

If you're doing streaks or an underlayer like I did, be very careful when washing it out. I left my hair up so the color didn't wash out into the hair I wanted to leave blonde.

Finish with the clear glaze to hold color longer and keep it vivid!

If you're doing a small streak, you can run a straightener over it while the color is in, I'm not a professional by any means but I can say I've done it before and it didn't ruin my hair in any way. The heat from the straightener helps to seal and process the color and it's easier that way if you want to pin point only where you're coloring.

Email me if you have questions and good luck!!
